German to English

Lindsay holds a BA in International Relations and German Cultural Studies from Tulane University and an MA (hons) in Translation Theory and Practice from University College London. While pursuing her MA, she completed a translation technology course at Imperial College London, ensuring familiarity and experience with a wide range of CAT tools. In addition, she spent a year studying at Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena, Germany, and a year as an au pair in Potsdam, Germany.

Previous work experience includes internships at Forum Ökologisch Soziale Marktwirtschaft, an environmental think tank in Berlin, and the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington, D.C., one of the US's most influential environmental lobbying groups.

Lindsay's specialisms include politics, government, contracts and the environment, though her translation services are by no means limited to these subject areas. Lindsay's education, work and travels have left her with a passionate interest in German language and culture, which allows her to deliver high quality translations.

She is both a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and an ITI Associate Member, which involves agreeing to a translator's code of conduct, a further guarantee of high levels of quality standards for clients. In addition, she has recently been accepted as a member in the BDÃœ (Bundesverband der Dolmetscher und Ãœbersetzer / German Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators).
